The Parks and Recreation Advisory Board consists of five members appointed by the mayor and confirmed by the city council who act in an advisory capacity for the Parks and Recreation Department making recommendations relating to park properties and programs. The appointment is for a period of three years. Responsibilities include reviewing staff reports in addition to advising and making recommendations relating to acquisition, planning, and development of parks, facilities, and programs. Board meetings are held on the third Tuesday of every month from 5:30 p.m. until adjournment.
