Provides critical care, fire, and life safety to the approximately 30,000 citizens residing in the 570 square miles of Medical Lake, Spangle, and Southwest Spokane County.

Municipal Court

Medical Lake currently contracts our court services through Cheney Municipal Court. 

The mission of Cheney Municipal Court is to serve our citizens, adhering to the highest standards, by processing all cases timely and impartially using effective and efficient case management techniques, effectively monitoring enforcement of judgments, and exercising sound financial stewardship of public funds.

SCRAPS Animal Control

The City of Medical Lake requires that all dogs and cats within city limits be licensed with SCRAPS.

License Your Pet

All dogs and cats over 6 months of age kept or maintained in Spokane County must be licensed with Spokane County within 30 days of being in the county. Dogs and cats that are in the county at least 30 days out of the year must be licensed with Spokane County.
