West Plains Water Coalition Meeting/PFAS Update
The City of Medical Lake and the West Plains Water Coalition present a Free Public Meeting for:
Medical Lake Area PFAS Update
Featuring guest speakers:
Chad Pritchard – Geologist, EWU
Albert Tripp – City Manager, City of Airway Heights
Sonny Weathers – City Administrator, City of Medical Lake
Dr. Pritchard’s groundwater test areas for PFAS contamination continue to grow, now including lakes, streams, and Medical Lake itself. Beyond the Fairchild and Airport test zones, his Ecology-funded “fate and transport” study is helping define well water risks for more of the West Plains. Mr. Tripp will summarize Airway Heights’ municipal water plans, supported by capital funding from Washington State and operating subsidy from the Air Force. AH drinking water is PFAS-free, according to WA Dept. of Health requirements. Details at https://drive.google.com/file/d/1tdXvdAuRaYFMn_Yh263TPGSEVn7b-osZ/edit
