Collections Specialist

The City of Medical Lake is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to join our Public Works team as a Collections Specialist.

This full-time position plays a key role in maintaining and operating the City’s wastewater collection system, while also supporting a wide range of Public Works functions including streets, water, stormwater, and general maintenance.

What You’ll Do:

Operate, monitor, and maintain wastewater collection systems, including sewer mains, manholes, and lift stations
Perform inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance
Respond to emergency calls and participate in on-call rotations
Operate heavy equipment and specialized tools
Assist with other Public Works operations as needed

What We’re Looking For:

Experience in wastewater, utilities, or public works maintenance
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Strong problem-solving skills and a team-oriented mindset
Relevant certifications (or ability to obtain within required timeframes), including CDL and wastewater certification
