Building Department

The City of Medical Lake Building Department is responsible for building code enforcement and the issuance of all permits inside the city limits. All permits are obtained through the Medical Lake Building Department, except electrical permits which are issued by Washington State Labor and Industries.

Examples of permits would include, but are not limited to, re-roofs, windows (3 or more at a time), water heaters, furnaces, air conditioning, remodels, additions, detached structures, and new construction. All permits are cash or check only.
