The outpouring of thoughts and comments from citizens related to a potential homeless shelter at the old Pine Lodge facilities seems well aligned with the City’s opposition. Spokane has acknowledged they are no longer pursuing use of the property, so the potential threat has been alleviated. Tonight’s City Council Meeting is already set to address a full agenda and the capacity at City Hall cannot accommodate large crowds. We encourage those who want to make a statement to attend the Community Meeting scheduled for 8/21, which will include this topic (details will follow on Facebook and the City website).
